Functions
- Design water treatment systems and processes, including appropriate equipment and technologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical analysis for new projects.
- Develop plans and technical specifications for the construction and upgrading of water treatment plants.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Solve operational and technical issues of the plant operation.
- Plan and coordinate water treatment plant improvement and expansion projects.
- Oversee the construction and installation of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure that plant operations are in compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Keep up to date on changes in laws and regulations related to water treatment.
- Drafting and submitting regulatory reports to the relevant authorities.
- Support procurement in evaluating and selecting suppliers and contractors for specific projects and services.
- Support procurement with technical approval of supplier bids.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in water treatment plants.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, operation and maintenance of water treatment plants.
- English. French is a plus.
- Availability to travel.
- Knowledge of design and simulation software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc).
