Functions
- Identify and assess strategic and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and supply agreements.
- Foster strong relationships with current suppliers.
- Place and track purchase orders.
- Ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Verify that materials and components meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve supply-related issues.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with purchased materials and services.
- Conduct cost analyses and devise strategies for cost reduction.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on supplier performance and procurement status.
- Implement enhancements in procurement processes to boost efficiency.
- Utilize inventory management systems and ERP software.
Requirements
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering/science degrees. Master’s Degree in Supply Chain is a plus.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the industrial sector.
- English at negotiation level is required . French is a plus.
- Experience in water treatment plants valuable.
- Negotiation skills.
- Availability for travel.
- Proficiency in analyzing purchasing and cost data to inform decision-making.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
